Wining + Dining

The raw and natural bush surrounding Camp Sabali is complemented by the luxury of the accommodation and the outstanding dining experience we offer.

From breakfast to high tea, closing the day with a sumptuous dinner, all our meals feature ingredients sourced locally, with the freshest fruit, vegetables and meat from local growers and farmers. Our highly trained chefs take immense pride in presenting beautiful dishes that reflect the rich abundance of Zambian produce.

We make sure to cater to your every need and can accommodate most dietary requirements. Be sure to advise us in plenty of time before your arrival date of any special needs.

Early morning

Our morning game drive leaves camp at 06h00 and so tea, coffee and homemade rusks will be served from 05h30. During the drive, guests can enjoy freshly baked muffins or croissants, with tea and coffee.

Breakfast – Served on your return from the morning game drive

We serve the freshest juices, along with locally sourced coffee or tea. Choose from a selection of freshly baked bread and pastries, oatmeal, yoghurt and cereals, cold meats and cheeses or a delicious traditional cooked breakfast with all the trimmings.

Is there any better way start to the day than enjoying a cappuccino, espresso or a pot of traditional rooibos tea while you listen to the sounds of the bush as the birds awaken and call, and the animals of the South Luangwa Valley begin to stir.

High Tea

We preserve one of the most beloved traditions at Camp Sabali with our high tea served daily in our dining area. Delicate sandwiches, sumptuous pastries,
fresh fruits and a steaming pot of tea or coffee (or something stronger!) make your afternoon relaxing and memorable.

Camp Sabali bakes all of its cakes and pastries on site using the finest ingredients and recipes from our trained chef. So sit back, relax and return to simpler times.

Dinner

With just enough time to freshen up after the return from your late afternoon game drive, dinner is served in our dining area or boma. Carefully planned menus provide variety using locally sourced ingredients, using whatever is in season to create an unforgettable experience. Your guides will join you for the evening to relive the sightings and adventures of the day with you and will share their stories of life in the valley.

Our drinks and wines complement your meal and are carefully selected for your enjoyment. A perfect combination!

Bar + Cocktails

Our bar is always open and we will happily mix your favourite cocktail or pour you a glass from one of our bottles of imported wines or spirits, or just order an
ice cold local Mosi beer and relax on the deck overlooking the bush.

In the same way that the furnishings of your luxury tented chalet reflect the
local surroundings, our bar area features furniture and decor crafted by local artisans creating a truly exceptional and intimate space in which to relax and enjoy your evening, before retiring happy and exhausted to your luxury tent.

Tea + Coffee

We take pride in sourcing some of the best local coffee and tea blends for Camp Sabali. Zambian coffees are full bodied with a sweet, mild acidity and with fruity overtones and mostly come from the country’s mountainous northern province, grown at elevations between 1300 and 1600 meters.

Africa is also known for rooibos, or red bush tea, an herb native to South Africa that when harvested and dried is brewed into a reddish brown herbal infusion
that is caffeine free and perfect for a late afternoon or evening refreshment.
